Turn It Up Media is looking for an independent contractor who is a creative thinker and passionate communicator to join the team. We’re a small but mighty team that works to deliver real results. Heavily focused in the craft beverage, cannabis, outdoor, and lifestyle markets, this position will support the public relations team at TIU. This role is responsible for contributing to a larger media relations strategy and executing direct media contact outreach, pitching and follow up. Other duties include:
Work with and report to PR Manager to develop and execute results-driven public relations strategy
Manage Meltwater software for press list development, results reporting, and outreach
Communicate promptly with clients, press, and coworkers
Write compelling pitches, press releases, and media alerts
Develop and maintain relationships with press contacts to drive value for target publications
Research publications to identify trends and new press contacts
Travel (up to 2 times per quarter) to client or team meetings
Gotta Have:
Interest in marketing (some internship or media relations experience preferred)
Passion for hand-crafted beer, wine, spirits and cannabis industries
Self-starter mentality -- be highly motivated with a get shit done attitude
Ability to happily multi-task and pivot between brands and voices
Deadline-driven with a sense of urgency
Tools to be effective working remotely
Wanna Have:
Someone who can nail the ‘Gotta Haves’, has some proven success in PR, and is seeking mentorship and experience with real-world go-to-market strategies in the craft beverage industries. Most of us work and play in Colorado, so if you’re in-state, that’s awesome.
Pay: Estimated $50k per year, based on experience. Independent Contractor paid monthly.
