May 28, 2025 - Longmont, Colo. - REEB Cycles’ The Sam’s Pants is back—your go-to gravel, bikepacking, adventure, and commuter bike, built to get you there.  Handcrafted in the USA with clean modern geometry, double- and triple-butted Columbus Zona tubing and UDH compatibility, this gravel bike is built with the craftsmanship to get you lost, and the durability to bring you back home.

The Sam’s Pants was first introduced in 2012, revised in 2020, and temporarily discontinued until this limited release in 2025.

“We built our first gravel bike over 13 years ago,” said Tim Moore, REEB Cycles Sales Director. “At the time, no one at REEB was sure about drop-bar bikes or skinny jeans, so they named the new bike after a local shop kid, Sam, who introduced everyone to the latter, and The Sam’s Pants was born. While we’re still unsure about skin-tight denim, one thing we’ve learned over the years is that it’s hard to beat the sense of adventure found behind the handlebars of a gravel bike.”

As REEB Cycles heads into its 15th year, the 2025 revised The Sam's Pants is a tribute to their heritage of crafting steel bicycles with simple, clean lines—now in a modern, updated package.  The Sam’s Pants has done everything from commuting to landing on the podium with Joe Grant on the Colorado Trail Race and features 54mm tire clearance and a third set of bottle bosses on the downtube and intentional space for frame bags. We slackened the headtube, increased the reach and shortened the chainstays slightly to make this bike more capable than ever. Our expertly manufactured, confidence-inspiring lightweight steel is specifically designed for long days on mixed terrain, offering a smooth, compliant ride that naturally dampens off-road vibrations.

Just like Sam’s pants, this design is tight. The 2025 Sam’s Pants features these handcrafted highlights:

  • Columbus triple-/double-butted 25CroMo seamless alloy tubeset

  • 420mm axle-to-crown to accommodate suspension forks

  • Three water bottle mounts (two inside the front triangle, one under the downtube)

  • 44mm head tube

  • Clearance for 29″ x 2.2″ tires

  • 68mm wide English (BSA) threaded BB shell

  • 142x12mm rear spacing

  • SRAM UDH hanger

  • 27.2mm ø seat post

  • Flat-mount disc brake (140mm standard)

  • External cable routing

  • Dropper post port in seat tube

It’s time to adventure and get lost. The Sam’s Pants gravel bike frame sets are now available for pre-order with July 2025 delivery featuring three build kit options in six stock colors, custom color options and five sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL) from https://reebcycles.com/.
