Lyons, Colo. (January 27, 2022) – In a small, kaizen-driven engineering and fabrication shop, improvements are made minute by minute and ride by ride, not withheld by model, year or version. When bikes are manufactured, assembled and delivered from one rider to another, not ordered annually from overseas or delivered in a container, what warrants the need for a definitive next version? In the case of the 2022 SQWEEB, it took two years of continuous testing and innovation, a pound of weight savings and the addition of the mullet platform to REEB’s refined modular shock mount platform to turn the page to v4.
The SQWEEB remains a trusted aluminum, 29″ wheel, suspension bike built right here in the USA. The 2022 v4 sports improved aesthetics and a redesigned rocker, which help shed a bit of weight and increase bearing life and serviceability. The modernized geometry, developed around 140mm to 170mm travel forks, adds to our already stellar standover height (and seat post insertion), lengthens reach and steepens the seat angle while three versatile suspension configurations deliver confidence and courage to the rider regardless of the terrain.
"REEB’s hands-on commitment to develop a reliable and progressive full suspension trail bike brought me here after mass produced frames didn't hold up to my riding. Over the past 4 years, we’ve continued to develop the SQWEEB into a versatile trail bike that will take anything you can throw at it," said REEB Cycles fabricator and racer Adam Prosise.
The updated SQWEEB v4 Rocker
Maximizing the modular shock mount design, SQWEEB v4 delivers a full quiver in a single frame, saving $crilla and garage space. The SQWEEB design offers three configurations:
Short Travel (ST) 130mm
Long Travel (LT) 150mm
Mullet 160mm
Truly tunable to handle long days in the saddle, exploring above tree line, sending it at the bike park or racing against the clock, all three lower shock mounts are available via the REEB Cycles (REEBcycles.com) website (MSRP $60).
REEB makes the SQWEEB v4 Rear End Upgrade Kit (MSRP $650) available for v3 owners to upgrade the Seat Stays and Rocker Link to match the suspension kinematics and improvements of the v4 SQWEEB. Price includes the v4 rocker in raw aluminum and v4 seat stays, powder coated to match your frame. This kit won’t get you all of the weight savings of the v4 SQWEEB frame since it doesn’t replace the front triangle, but does include these upgrades:
92 gram weight reduction on rocker
New trunnion bearings with dual row bearings for double the load capacity
3 piece rocker design for lighter weight, tighter tolerances and greatly reduced manufacturing waste
Clevis mount on seat stay/rocker interface for stiffer rear end
Easier to service the bearings
Seat stays mount further inboard for more heel clearance and slimmer look. 10mm narrower per side
Note that spec shock stroke also changes slightly for the v4 Sqweeb, so it is ideal to also replace your shock with the proper stroke for each travel option.

About REEB Cycles
In 2011, REEB Cycles began fabricating handmade steel hardtails designed for the steep and rocky terrain of their home in the foothills of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. In 2017, REEB announced the SQWEEB, their first full suspension offering, a platform that was redesigned in 2020 by engineer Steve Zeigler and has been evolving under fabricator and racer Adam Prosise. In addition to designing and fabricating all bikes in-house in Lyons, Colo., REEB operates a demo, retail and full service bike shop at CyclHOPS Bike Cantina restaurant in Longmont, Colo.
