Media Alert: On March 13, Can’d Aid Will Donate 135 Skateboards For Longmont Students

WHAT: Local nonprofit organization Can’d Aid will doante 135 skateboards on Monday, March 13, to third, fourth, and fifth grade students at Northridge Elementary. Can’d Aid, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, has partnered with Square State Skate to make this a memorable donation. Northridge students will be treated to a week long PE program with their new skateboards.

WHEN: March 13, 2:15-3pm

WHERE: Northridge Elementary (1200 19th Ave, Longmont, CO 80501)

MEDIA OPP: Media are invited to attend the skateboard donation event.

WHY: Children average 7 hours of screen time per day and only 1 in 5 gets the daily recommended amount of exercise. Through its Treads + Trails program, Can’d Aid helps combat these troubling statistics. Can’d Aid has donated more than 3,500 bikes and skateboards nationally to students in 2022. At a time when our nation’s youth are experiencing extreme levels of anxiety, depression and mental health issues, Can’d Aid’s programs provide healthy and active outlets for underserved and at-risk children across the country.
